The 2025 iPDF International Future Cosmetics Packaging Exhibition opened on schedule at the Guangzhou Airport Expo Center, covering more than 25,000 m² with 500+ exhibitors and 100+ industry experts — scientists, data specialists, design masters, product managers and cross-border operators across the full packaging chain.
Packaging as the first touchpoint
"Packaging, as the first contact point between product and consumer, has long gone beyond simple protection and become a key element in conveying brand value," said curator Wu Lin at the opening. That framing explains why the appearance economy now drives so much R&D spend.
What was on show
- Creative design and structural innovation.
- Environmentally friendly and recycled materials.
- Intelligent manufacturing and automation.
- Advanced printing and decoration technology.
- Smart packaging solutions with traceability.
Trends we noted
Three themes dominated the floor: the appearance economy (shelf impact and unboxing), sustainability as a baseline rather than a differentiator, and faster customization with shorter lead times for small brands.
How to get value from a show
| Stage | |
|---|---|
| Before | Shortlist target suppliers and prepare a one-page spec |
| During | Collect material samples and record decoration durability claims |
| After | Run a compatibility test before committing to tooling |
If you could not attend, send us your specification and we will match it against the materials and suppliers we qualified at the show.
