2025 iPDF International Future Cosmetics Packaging Exhibition Opens in Guangzhou

The 2025 iPDF International Future Cosmetics Packaging Exhibition opened on schedule at the Guangzhou Airport Expo Center, covering more than 25,000 m² with 500+ exhibitors and 100+ industry experts — scientists, data specialists, design masters, product managers and cross-border operators across the full packaging chain.

Packaging as the first touchpoint

"Packaging, as the first contact point between product and consumer, has long gone beyond simple protection and become a key element in conveying brand value," said curator Wu Lin at the opening. That framing explains why the appearance economy now drives so much R&D spend.

What was on show

  • Creative design and structural innovation.
  • Environmentally friendly and recycled materials.
  • Intelligent manufacturing and automation.
  • Advanced printing and decoration technology.
  • Smart packaging solutions with traceability.

Trends we noted

Three themes dominated the floor: the appearance economy (shelf impact and unboxing), sustainability as a baseline rather than a differentiator, and faster customization with shorter lead times for small brands.
