Composite structure: Bamboo tube combined with food grade PP/glass inner liner to ensure lip balm cream sealing (silicone ring to prevent leakage), avoiding direct contact between bamboo material and cream.

• Environmentally friendly sealing

Bamboo screw cap and PP inner liner are precisely fitted, suitable for high-fat creams (e.g. tea oil, beeswax lip balm), with better leak-proof performance than traditional plastic tubes.

IV. Bamboo Lip Balm Tube Reuse

1. Material and structure support reuse

• Bamboo characteristics

The bamboo shell is carbonized and treated with anti-mold treatment, which is wear-resistant and moisture-resistant, and can be used for a long time without deformation or mildew.

The natural pore structure helps to regulate the humidity inside the tube, reducing the risk of deterioration of the cream. 

• Composite design

The combination of bamboo tube and food-grade PP/glass inner liner supports disassembly for cleaning (e.g. spiral separation structure), avoiding direct contact between bamboo and paste leading to contamination.

2. Specific reuse methods

• Cleaning and Maintenance

After use, use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to wipe the inner liner and the inner wall of the bamboo tube to remove residual paste.

Avoid soaking the bamboo casing. It is recommended to wipe it gently with a damp cloth and then ventilate it to dry.

• Refilling the paste

Melt and fill method: melt homemade lip balm (e.g. beeswax + essential oil formula) by heating and injecting it into the inner liner of the bamboo tube, and reuse it by cooling and solidifying it.

Squeeze and recycle method: Heat the wall of the tube by hairdryer or knock the bottom, remove the residual balm and refill with new balm.

• Tips for adapting and remodeling

If the inner liner is damaged, you can replace the PP/glass liner separately and keep the bamboo shell for further use.

3. Restrictions and Precautions for Use

• Prohibited scenes

Avoid contact with strong acid/alkaline paste (e.g. containing fruit acids), which may corrode the bamboo material or the sealing layer of the inner liner.

Bamboo tube temperature resistance range is generally -20 ℃ ~ 80 ℃, high temperature filling need to control the melting temperature to prevent deformation.

• Lifespan assessment

Under normal maintenance, the bamboo shell can last 3-5 years, PP/glass liner is recommended to be replaced every 1-2 years

The source of bamboo material should provide FSC forest certification to ensure sustainable harvesting.
