I. Traditional types and materials of core packaging

• Glass bottle

Material characteristics: high borosilicate glass (high temperature resistant) or soda-lime glass (highly transparent), chemically inert to avoid reaction with cosmetic ingredients, suitable for creams, serums and other highly active products.

Capacity range:

Cream bottle: 10g-50g (wide mouth design with double plastic outer cap).

Essence bottle: 20ml-100ml (narrow mouth design, with plastic or electrified aluminum pump head).

Toner bottle: ≥100ml (narrow mouth bottle with inner stopper + outer cap or pump head).

• Plastic bottle

Material: PE, PET or PP, lightweight and leak-proof, suitable for lotions, toners and other liquid products.

Capacity range: 50ml-200ml, commonly used for lotion and spray products.

Seal design: screw cap, lift cap or pump head, partly with inner plug to prevent leakage.

• Hose

Material characteristics: single/double/five-layer composite structure (five layers with a barrier layer, anti-oxidation), suitable for facial cleanser, sunscreen and other cream products.

Capacity range: 30ml-150ml, portable and easy to squeeze.

1. Environmental protection material upgrade

• Thick-walled PET/PETG bottle

Characteristics: Both high transparency and hard feel, better than traditional glass bottle drop performance, and in line with food-grade environmental standards, suitable for lotions, serums and other liquid products.

Process Innovation:

Matte surface effect is realized by injection color + sanding, matte paint spraying or sand injection blow molding, which combines aesthetics and low cost;

Rubber paint spraying process enhances the sense of touch and improves the high-end positioning of the product.

• Paper Can Packaging

Application Scenario: Used for skin care products packaging, replacing the traditional carton, with stronger compression resistance and environmental protection, suitable for high-end product transportation and protection needs.

2. Design Innovation and Function Optimization

• Minimalist Packaging

Visual design: solid color base with embossing process or 3D relief, such as frosted gemstone texture bottle, snow lotus texture relief, to strengthen the sense of touch and visual memory points;

Structural optimization: special paper laminated box combined with translucent rigid PVC, bright colors and simple design, suitable for the high value demand of new consumer brands.

• Modular and multifunctional packaging

Pump head and spray design: external pump center avoids liquid contact with the spring and is suitable for liquids of different densities; ultra-fine spray design enhances the use experience;

Replaceable core: some packages support core replacement, reducing the waste of shells and in line with the concept of sustainability (need to be customized with the brand).

3. Aseptic and Convenience Innovation

• Disposable Packaging

Characteristics: disposable independent capsule design, to ensure aseptic environment, precise control of dosage, applicable to essence, ampoule and other highly active products;

Material: medical grade composite film, lightweight and easy to carry, to meet the needs of travel or daily quick care.

• Portable Dispensing

Mini PET bottles: small volume design under 30ml, with screw cap or lift cap, suitable for trial or travel scenarios.

V. Safety and environmental standards

Material safety: glass bottles need to pass FDA or GB food grade certification to avoid lead, cadmium and other harmful substances; plastic bottles need to meet REACH environmental standards. 

Recyclability: glass bottles can be recycled indefinitely; plastic bottles need to be categorized for recycling (PET>PE>PP). 

Lightweight trend: thin-walled glass process, biodegradable plastics are gradually promoted to reduce carbon emissions
